SSC CHSL Syllabus 2024: Aspirants preparing for SSC CHSL 2024 should know about the SSC CHSL Syllabus and Exam Pattern to understand what they need to study. SSC CHSL 2024 Selection Procedure

The SSC CHSL 2024 exam is divided into two phases, which candidate must qualify in order to be eligible for different positions in government offices. SSC CHSL Tier I is a Multiple Choice Question paper, and Tier II will consist of three sections, each with two modules.

SSC CHSL Tier I Exam Pattern

  • The SSC CHSL Tier I exam is a computer-based online examination (CBT) taken online.
  • Candidates have 60 minutes to complete the SSC CHSL Tier-I exam, which contains 100 questions for 200 marks ( each question 2 marks).
  • In Tier-1 exams, applicants receive a penalty of half mark for each incorrect attempt.

SSC CHSL Syllabus for Tier 1 Exam

SSC CHSL is conducted at three  levels, each with its own syllabus. To study for SSC CHSL 2024, all candidates must be updated on the most recent changes (if any) to the SSC CHSL syllabus and exam format.
Tier I of the SSC CHSL exam consists of four sections, as follows:

General Awareness Syllabus for SSC CHSL.

The General Awareness section’s questions aim to test the candidate’s overall understanding of the environment and its social applications. Questions are also intended to evaluate an educated person’s understanding of current events as well as ordinary observations and experiences in their scientific aspect. The test will also cover questions regarding India and its adjacent nations, particularly about history, culture, geography, economics, general policy, static awareness, Indian general knowledge, and scientific research.

SSC CHSL Revised Tier II Syllabus

SSC updated the SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern and announced a new curriculum, which is listed below:
Tier II will have the following three sections, each with two modules:
Section 1 contains Modules I: Mathematical Abilities and II: Reasoning and General Intelligence.
Section 2: Module I: English Language and Comprehension, and Module II: General Awareness.
Section 3: Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test and Module-II: Skill/Typing Test

Tier 2 will be held in two sessions, Session 1 and Session 2, on the same day. Session I will cover the execution of Sections 1 and 2, as well as Module 1 of Section 3. Session 2 will contain the execution of Module 2 of Section 3. Tier 2 will be objective type, multiple choice questions, with the exception of Module 2 in Section 3. With an exception of Module 2 (i.e.(English Language and Comprehension module) in Section 2. In Section-1, Section-2, and Module-I of Section-3, each incorrect answer will result in a one-mark deduction.

Skill test for the post of Data Entry Operator:

In this test, a candidate should be able to enter data at rate of 8,000 Key per hour. The duration of the skill Test is fifteen minutes & English document with about 2000 to 2200 letters will be given to type.

Skill tests for the position of DEO in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):

The speed of 15000 key depressions per hour will be calculated based on the correct entry of words or key depressions as specified in the passage. The test will last 15 minutes, and each candidate will be given printed information in English around 3700-4000 keystrokes to enter into the test computer.

Skill test for the position of Lower Division Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (LDS/JSA) and Postal Assistants or Sorting Assistants (PA/SA):

The speed of 10500 key depressions per hour will be determined by the correct entry of words/key depressions based on the passage provided. The test duration is 15 minutes, and each candidate will be given written content in English comprising around 9000 key-depressions every hour, which they will enter into the test computer.

Q1. How many rounds will be in the SSC CHSL 2024 exam?
